About FFL Types

FFLDex groups records by the ATF license type attached to each listing. Dealer, pawnbroker, collector, manufacturer, importer, and destructive-device categories all serve different user needs.

For transfer-focused users, Type 01 dealer records are usually the most relevant. Collector records remain searchable for completeness, but they are excluded from default commercial browsing.
